At tomorrow's European Council meeting two cities were due to compete for the right to host the 2012 European Debating Championships.

However in the last couple of days Leeds have pulled out of the race leaving Belgrade as the only bidding city. All going to plan European Council should ratify the Belgrade bid tomorrow. I'm sure they will make excellent hosts. Hopefully Leeds will return to bid for 2013 or later.
